We had to do a room flip for our reception in under two hours and also asked the band to play back up for our friend who was singing a song they had to learn for the first time. We threw a couple curve balls at them and they handled and executed everything beautifully from start to finish.

I've certainly heard terrible wedding stories from others around difficult vendors, loss of money, and overall terrible experiences throughout the last year and am very thankful that wasn't us. You and the Sam Hill team were also great to work with and can't thank you enough for your understanding and rescheduling policies as we all navigated through a very unexpected and difficult year. On top of that, the band was very easy to work with, prepared, and always available if anything was needed prior to or the day of the wedding. I received multiple compliments throughout the night and even into the days after the wedding about them.

Where do I even begin?! We booked The Retreat for our September 25th wedding in Virginia and they were hands down one of the best decisions we made in terms of wedding planning. My dad is a musician, and he personally picked The Retreat, and he was also blown away by their talent and professionalism. They kept the dance floor going the entire night, and at one point they read the room quite well and played an amazing early 2000's mashup that had all of us millennials screaming at the top of our lungs. Everyone was obsessed with the saxophone player during the cocktail hour, and the reception was top notch.
During the ceremony, I wanted to play less traditional music (guitar covers of Disney songs and The Beatles), and they didn't bat an eye and played so beautifully. They played our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, and excelled at each part. The Retreat were an incredible band to work with.
